Monster Milk vs Muscle Milk, which one is better?!

Question: Monster Milk vs Muscle Milk, which one is better?
Okay so here's the thing; I went to GNC today to buy me some Monster Milk which I have been using ever since I started weight training (month and a half ago). Next to Monster Milk was Muscle Milk. First thing I saw was the pretty sweet discount of the product from $41.99 to $21.99. Sadly, Monster Milk didn't have such a sweet deal.

Anyways, I started comparing the ingredients and the one that obviously stood out the most was the difference in Protein. Monster Milk has 50g but Muscle Milk has 16g. The whole point of me wanting to buy these Protein shakes is obviously for, well.... the Protein!

I ended up buying Monster Milk even though it cost double. I figured that I would have to drink around 6 Muscle Milk shakes to get (and not even quite) what I get from both Monster Milk shakes I take during the day.

I know I basically answered myself but I would like your input on the matter. Was it worth it? What benefits does Muscle have that Monster doesn't? (and vice-versa)

Answers:

Well if cost per ounce of protein is your concern, neither of these is a good deal. What you need to do is go back to GNC and get a tub of whey protein, there are tons of brands, ask the seller and get one right for you. You'll spend about 40-50 dollars on this tub that will last you at least a month and you get 25-30 g protein per 8 ounce serving. So not only are you getting more protein but you dont have to drink so much fluid!
What i do is buy a tub, my tub is my main source of additional protein, i also buy muscle milk. its cheap and is a great protein source and it tastes damnnn good.
I do 5 'meals' a day, breakfast lunch dinner with two protein meals inbetween. The smaller meal are at about 120-200 calories a meal and 10-20 g of protein either from special k protein bars or muscle milk.

Also, 50 g of protein solely from the shake is a little on the high side considering you should be eating food source protein in your regular diet as well.

Save money and swap to powder for your main source and supplement a muscle milk in for 'snack meal' hah
