??????Can you eat whatever you want as long as it is under 1,400 calories??????★!

Question: ??????Can you eat whatever you want as long as it is under 1,400 calories??????★??
Most chocolates like Minstrels range from 384 calories to 500. You are supposed to eat no more then 1,400 a day (in my case, as I exercise a lot). Hypothetically, if you ate chocolate all day and nothing else but made sure it you had no more then 1,400 and ate nothing afterward's is that actually fine?

What I'm trying to ask is, is the amount of a daily calorie saying that whatever you eat is fine as long as its under the number?

I'm new to the whole keeping track of your calories thing and do not plan on eating all that chocolate but what im trying to ask is if I had chocolate everyday along with other normal meals and not go past the calories im supposed to keep track of should I feel bad or guilty or is this not considered bad as wouldn't go past 1,400?

To rephrase this, is following your calories and not going past the maximum amount guarantee of not gaining weight or is it more of a guideline? Also, if I did have a chocolate everyday would that mean I couldn't lose weight? not planning on eating chocolate but I just want to know how it works. For example I had kraft mac and cheese and the whole box is 410, I only one bowls worth, how would I calculate that and know how much calories was in a bowl?

Thanks guys!

If you exercise a lot (although I don't know what "a lot" means to you), you most likely need more than 1400 calories a day. The average person who is mostly sedentary can lose weight by eating 1200-1500 calories a day (without exercise). For those who exercise, and especially for those who exercise a lot, you need MORE calories, even if you're trying to lose weight.

Should you eat 1400 calories of chocolate? No. You should have balanced meals: about half coming from carbs and the other half coming from protein and fat (more protein than fat, of course). Eating only chocolate will make you hungry because it's not containing much of anything to keep you full, like protein and fiber. Not only that but you're not feeding your body properly. For instance, your brain only uses carbs to fuel it - so let's say you go on a no-carb diet. Well, how is your brain getting fuel? It's not.

You need to try to balance your meals properly. Yes, you can have chocolate, pizza, alcohol, whatever the things are that you enjoy - but you should only enjoy them in moderation and make sure you're still getting all the fruits, vegetables, protein, carbs, fiber, fats, and everything else that you need.

For figuring out how much you've consumed, the nutrition information rarely says the amount for the whole container. It's generally broken down into servings (such as, 1 cup = 1 serving and the box contains 2.5 servings). To determine how much you're getting, either measure it out or weigh it (the box also contains the weight). If you're going to count calories, your best weapon is a food scale. Buy it and use it, along with some good measuring utensils so you can be accurate about what you've put in your mouth.

I wouldn't say you can eat just chocolate all day and still lose weight, but your diet can be pretty flexible. You just want to make sure that you don't eat too much fat, too many carbs, etc. Try to keep a good balance between them all. So you could eat chocolate, you would just have to make sure not to eat too much of it. I hope this helps. :)

NO. For that Same day you will still need your daily supply. 1.400 Chocolate will not sustain you. you need a certain amount of fat in your diet as well as your daily vitamin intake. I thought it was Bus`hwa till I got older. Trust me you need your daily supply, and I'm not talking about Chocolate!! LOL. Employ a nutritionist

why diet if your food choices are bad. the entire point of weight loss is not just to lose, but to reestablish a healthy eating regimen. otherwise, you are wasting your time, and your health. a treat once in a while (once a week!) is o.k. no soda. lots of water.

No, absolutely no.
You need to keep balance between sugars, fats and proteins. Other ways you will gain.

Hey , I see you are looking for some information on methods for losing weight.

I had a weight problem from early in my 20's almost until the time I reached my 30th birthday. I tried everything that I saw on television or online, including, Atkins, Slimfast and Special K diets, and nothing worked for my persistent overweight condition.

A girlfriend of mine found a diet that worked real well for her, and she passed it on to me. I was able to lose 25 pounds over 4 months, and I have kept it off for over 18 months at this time. Maybe it will work for you as well, the link is below.
