If I do exercise everyday. Can I eat whatever I want?!

Question: If I do exercise everyday. Can I eat whatever I want?
I am 18 and 150lbs. I want to become 130lbs. I walk on treadmill for 45 mins and I do leg lifts and crunches too. I eat Indian food and american food. Will I be able to become 130 in a month??

Answers:

Like everything, food is only good for you in perfect moderation.
Too little could make you gain weight, and too much can do the same, to become 130 you need to limit your portion sizes, just because you exercise doesn't mean you can eat what ever you want.
Losing weight is all math, if you burn more calories than you take in in a day you will lose weight. just make sure you eat enough to keep a metabolism.
So, in short. No, balance your food and exercise.

Exercise is secondary, a distant secondary to body composition goals. Number one is diet. The only people that can out train a crappy diet are professional athletes and people with extremely fast metabolisms (very few people fall in into either of those category).

Want to lose weight? eat healthier, it's not exactly rocket science. Plenty of vegetables, some fruits, healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts, avocados and whole protein sources such as eggs, meat and chicken. Nothing processed (this includes most things in a can and a box) and limit grain/starch intake according your activity levels the more active you are the more starch/grains you can have.

Athlete, strength and conditioning coach, body fat at 8% from following the above rules.

This is how I do it. It's simply calories in versus calories out. Burn more calories than you eat and you'll lose weight. You need to keep a food journal of every single thing that you eat. Eat whatever you want BUT 1300 calories is the limit! So if you decide on a big mac and fries...that's it for the day. Trust me you'll start really thinking about your choices after a couple of nights going to bed really hungry. If you cheat, you'll only be cheating yourself. Then you need to kick up the exercise. If you can do 45 minutes on the treadmill you're not working hard enough. Stay with 45 minutes but at a very quick pace (15 minute mile or better 4-5 miles per hour 7 days a week) The leg lift/ crunches are mass building exercises and won't help with weight loss. Save them for after you lose the weight. To get things going, try one for 1300 calories a day along with the exercise. NO food after 6 pm. Try it for just 14 days without cheating. You won't lose 20 pounds, more like about 5 to 6 permanent pounds a month but that's a good healthy weight loss schedule. Good luck.

No. Being healthy and loosing weight is more on the food than the exercise. You could walk the entire day and eat a whole meal of maccas and it would of got you know where. Just eating one mars bar for example takes 45 minutes to burn off running!

If you want to loose weight avoid carbohydrates. Nothing like bread (despite what we think, bread is a carb and is therefore harder to burn off... not to mention highly processed) so no mashed potato even... or rice! Eating meat and veggies combined with exercise is the best. But mainly just watch out for those carbohydrates!

Honestly i don't see it happening. Even walking on the treadmill for 45 minutes and some workouts after. My suggestion to you would be to run for 30 minutes and do a full body workout. Running can be done everyday and that's no problem. But on workout days make sure you give your body a rest for one day. So on none workout days, I would do cardio. Like running or the bicycle. Now with dieting. You are what you eat. So i would suggest cutting the amount of carbs from your diet. Stick with water or other low sugar drinks. Also make sure you eat enough. Just because your on a diet doesn't mean starve yourself. You need to eat to lose and trust me. It will work. Just stick with the diet and workout and i guarantee you. You will gradually lose wait. Also taking multivitamins for gnc for women will boost your metabolism so that will help even more. Plus you will have more energy. :)

No.
Eating what you want and losing weight don't always go in hand.
Sure you can eat what you want one day a week but not everyday.
You have to lose 20 lbs a month or just one month then you're going to have to eat healthy drink plenty of water and work out.

It depends on how quick you want this to work, if you diet you'll hit your target weight faster, if you just exercise it might take a little longer, depending upon metabolism
