How fast would I lose weight?!

Question: How fast would I lose weight?
Hi, I have recently taken up running in an effort to lose weight. I aim to go 3 times per week and when I go I run about 2 miles in roughly 30 mins (my average is 14 minutes per mile). I have also started to eat healthier. If I keep this up how quickly could I expect to lose weight? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Note: I'm 15 and did very little exercise before this.

Answers:

Males burn about .75 x your weight (in lbs.) per mile
Females about .53 x weight per mile.

If you are a male, weigh 180 pounds and run 2 miles you burn about .75 x 180 x 2 = 270 calories per run.

It takes about 3500 calories to burn a pound of fat.

You would have to run 3500 / 270 = 12.96 miles to lose a pound without taking diet into consideration.

Eating healthier will provide results similarly.. just remember 3500 calories is close to a pound.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)

There are more tips and info.

Some say low carb. Some say high carb. Some say it's how much food. Some say it's how much exercise. But none of these covers the whole picture.

How to lose weight naturally is not rocket science. It just takes accepting the facts of these seven natural laws of weight loss, plus good old-fashioned stick-to-itiveness.

Seven Laws of How to Lose Weight Naturally

1. Make a commitment to whatever it takes.
2. Start from a foundation of happiness.
3. Design your own healthy diet plan.
4. Manage your emotions.
5. Find a way to exercise daily.
6. Keep a Journal.
7. Be persistent.

Good Luck and Take care :-)

Hey , losing weight can be a difficult process. I have been a personal

trainer for over 30 years, and I can tell you there is no magic bullet. You will need to

establish proper eating habits and combine them with an exercise program.

I have investigated every online resource that you can look at, as well as every major diet program there is, and I haven't seen anything better than the program I am referring you to below. Stay healthy, exercise and eat what you like and redistribute your calorie intake. You will definitely lose weight. Good luck.

you know a really really fast way to loose weight is to run in really cold weather. My dads friend works in Antarctica and he said they have to eat baked sugar with butter and oatmeal to stay alive because they loose weight just by breathing. so you might be able to go up in the mountains, or a really cold place and run

Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

Whenever I go to the gym I always wonder how some of those people get the abs and the cut look. I have tried absolutely everything under the sun until I cam across a product that would forever change the way I look at weight loss. I can lose weight naturally now. It takes some work but after you get used to it it just comes naturally. It got my the 'chiseled' abs I wanted in about 3 months.
