Would like help from any women who take a form of martial arts?!

Question: Would like help from any women who take a form of martial arts?
Well I have a problem on campus with guys sometimes being too........free. touchy. Sometimes blatant and other times they act like they're joking. Still, it gets annoying. I usually let them know verbally it's not welcome. But it still persists on occasion. A friend of mine who I talk to about this, suggested martial arts, saying it would be good to know in case it ever got really aggressive. She mentioned tae kwon do. Have any of you taken something like this before? Ever been in a situation where you've actually had to use it in the past? I just wonder how effective it would be on a bigger guy if one did get aggressive. Is taking this a good idea? I'd like to know your experiences and advice. Thanx.

Answers:

I have been doing martial arts for a while, Tae Kwon Do being one of them, I liked it but where I took it, it wasn't treated much as a self-defense art
I do a hybrid martial arts called, Kyuki Do, it's a mix of Tae Kwon Do, Judo and Hapkido
Hapkido is self- defense can joint manipulation
Tae Kwon Do is mainly kicks and light self- defense
Judo is like wrestling in case you get into a fight that involves the ground, in which most fights usually do (the movies barely fight to the ground, so thats a lie)
I've been taught techniques to work in almost any situation, including up to vs 3 people

So if you're to research martial arts, pick a self- defense or a hybrid for a wider variety
