I need help, any advice(preferably swimmers)?!

Question: I need help, any advice(preferably swimmers)?
So I'm 16. I haven't swam on a team in about 5 years, but I was actually pretty good when I was younger. To this day I'm still a pretty impressive swimmer. I can beat out quite a few of the swimmers on my high school team. BUT there are a select few who are great at swimming and I want to be one of them. I was planning on doing swim team for my junior and senior year (missed out this year because g.p.a was too low). Is there any advice that could help me? I really am passionate about swimming and am willing to train non-stop. The only problem is I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (feet and ankles) and it really holds me back. Words cannot explain my frustration level. Help would be extremely appreciated. I wanna be super fast and hopefully get a scholarship. I may be dreaming to high, but a lot of my dreams have gone out the window since being diagnosed with god damn arthritis, and I feel as if I can accomplish this with a little help and support. Workout ideas, diet plans, anything would be awesome...

Answers:

Artharititis shouldn't affect swimming, as it is a non-weight bearing sport. I'm 16, male, and was in a club when I was 12-14. I don't swim as much now, im more into boxing. Anyway, as far as advice goes, I can only offer what I do, but with swimming:

?swim in the mornings before school. The whole point of this opposed to in the evening is that it helps with your mental conditioning.

?on alternating days, do stamina sets. Swim without stoping for around 15-20 mins, do this about 3-4 times. Then, to really push yourself, do sprint sets. Because your doing them when your tired out, when it comes to an actual race it will seem easier.

?eat right. I cannot stress this enough, it may not seem important but it really is. No soda at all, no pizza, no chips, anything like that. Just remember, nothing tastes as good as winning.

Now, you may not even read any of that, but contact me if (for some reason) you need more info.
