What is the best thing to eat before and after a workout?!


Question: What is the best thing to eat before and after a workout?
Iv heard that you're supposed to eat carbs before you work out and then protein Afterwards, is this right? I usually have a granola bar or some dry cereL before I work out and then some turkey meat or a protein shake after. Tips? Comments? Suggestions?

Answers:

I eat a banana an hour before my workout and a protein shake immediately after I finish. Banana has a lot of carbs and other great nutrients for a pre-workout food. How much you should eat depends on how long you're planning to workout, but always eat at least an hour prior to workout.
