Question: I have heard that it's good for detox/weight loss to eat two tbs of olive oil before bed. do you agree? why?
Answers:

Rubbish.
If anything it will convert to excess fat. Only because it is excess calories.
Olive oil is a healthy unsaturated fat.
We "cleanse and detox" 24 hours a day through respiration, sweat, liver, and kidneys.
We can help by eating a healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be.
Minimal alcohol, caffeine, soda.
Read food labels. If you can't pronounce it, don't put it in your body.
Cleanses actually flush out the beneficial bacteria and enzymes in the digestive system.
There is no excess waste or toxins "sitting around" in your colon.
Most of the water we ingest is removed in the colon and returned to the kidneys for excretion. If we had "toxins" or "sludge lining the colon wall we would all be walking around like sponges right?



It will make you go poo and remove waste that may be sitting in your colon. Olive oil has an antiseptic quality to it also.



I have not heard olive oil but I have heard flax seed oil which can be bought in capsules just as easily and cheap



It is indeed good for health.
