Question: List some healthy food that are high on carbs?
I'm trying to gain weight so what are a few foods I can eat on a daily basis to help me start? =]

Answers:

Nut butters: peanut, almond, etc have good fats.
Avocados & bananas= good calories.
Sprouted grain & whole grain breads/waffles, etc...
Wheat pasta
Cereal w/o added sugar. Sweetened with maple syrup or honey is fine. whole wheat/grain/buckwheat are best :)
Brown Rice
Full fat dairy

I've started eating bunches of peanut butter, nutella, waffles & bread, cereal, full fat dairy, lotsa fruits especially bananas, & the such on the daily & have gained like 5 pounds since...lol (so i know from experience :p)



Just remember that excessive carbs/sugars only add fat weight, not muscle. If fact, that is the only way, from a dietary standpoint, that you can gain fat weight for the most part (that is the trigger for your body to produce fat storage hormones, which turns any extra surplus calories you eat into fat storage).



whole grain and whole wheat products are packed with complex carbs. look for whole wheat bread that says "100% whole grain" all of your basic fruits are good sources as well, like apples and bananas and grapes and oranges. oats are really good for bulking up, people who strength train like to eat oats.

i'm sure you could google food high in carbs.



Detoxing would be a great way to kick your wieght loss into gear, Cleaning your body from all the bad stuff will give you more energy to start and complete you workouts they way you should. Look at it as an oil change for a car, runs better with clean oil. Adios
