how do i calculate the % of calories coming form saturated, polyunsaturated, and!

Question: How do i calculate the % of calories coming form saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated fat?
???
for total fat, i have 94g. fat x 9kcal/1g= 846kcal fat
846kcal fat/2162 total kcal= .50 x 100= 50% coming from fat....
now how do i calculate the % of calories coming from saturated (26 g.) , polyunsaturated (22 g.), and monounsaturated (39 g.) fat?

THANK YOU!!

Answers:

? If you divide 846 by 2162, you’ll get 0.3913043...so 846 is 39.13% of 2162.
Multiply 2162 by 39.13% and you’ll get 846.

26g + 22g + 39g = 87g and not 94g.

If the total fat was 87g and not 94g then it’s 783 calories (and not 846 calories).
783/2162...783 : 2162 = 0.3621646 so 783 is 36.22% of 2162.

26g (234 calories), 22g (198 calories) and 39g (351 calories) = 783 total calories from fat.

Take any number, divide it by the highest number to find out what percentage it it.
Like 26g of saturated fat is 234 calories so if you divide 234 by 2162 (total caloric intake), you would get 0.1082331...so the percentage of calories coming from saturated fat would be 10.82%...which is high as you should try to limit your saturated fat to 5% of your total caloric intake, for a healthy diet (which is not possible if you eat processed or restaurant food...just one Big Mac is 29g total fat with 10g of saturated fat and 1.5g of trans fat...those are still legal in the US).

Somebody eating 2,160 calories should restrict the saturated fat to 12 grams (2,160 x 5% = 108 calories divided by 9).

Note:
With a calculator, you can divide 234 by 2162% to directly get the 10.82%
