Does lifting and body building stunt growth and make you shorter?!

Question: Does lifting and body building stunt growth and make you shorter?
Im 16 year old 77 kg, and i go to the gym and do lifting, does it stunt my growth?

Answers:

This is very subjective. Every person has different growth cycles. Could it possibly stunt your growth at all, yes. However, it should be very minimal by this point. Most people agree that 16 is the age when heavy weights can be begun without negatively impacting a person's growth. You are probably good to go.

If you compulsively lift massive amounts of weight it does but just a normal workout will not stun your growth at all. Plus by now you are old enough that weights dont effect you growth

no it doesnt that is a big myth... so dont worry about it
there is nothing to worry about.

relax go and workout....
