I may need to know more details about what your exercise regime is but here is what I imagine is happening.

The fat around your belly is the same as it was the day you start (or maybe slightly reduced) but with the amount of sit ups you are performing you are growing more muscular as well "under the fat". This pushes the fat out further and makes you look "fatter" while you are in fact fitter.
Eat heathily will help out and try to have a good all round exercise regime. When in doubt perform more squats.

In order to lose weight, you have to exercise AND eat healthy. (and sweets in moderation, of course :))



well if you still eat a bunch of crap food then just doing situps wont help you...
