Does weight loss really all come down to calories?!

Question: Does weight loss really all come down to calories?
I can count calories but I don't have the time or money to cut, say, carbs out of my diet. I don't eat anything particularly high in fat or even sugar/carbs for that matter. I do eat quite a bit of breads though (I'm a baker, it can't be helped!). Before anyone says anything about exercise, I've tried to fit it into my schedule but once again, I really just don't have any time for more than some sit ups before bed.

As long as I keep my caloric intake below my metabolic rate of calories burned, could I drop a few pounds? (This muffin top is driving me crazy and I wanna lose my belly.)
Thanks everyone :)

Answers:

It's all calories, nothing else.

If you eat more calories than you burn, you will put on weight.

If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight.

However, there is a catch. As your weight goes up, you burn more calories just to stay alive, the Basel Metabolic Rate (sort of). As you lose weight, it takes fewer calories to stay al;ive.

the result is that if you weight a lot and go on a strict diet, you will lose weight quickly at first, since the body is getting a lot fewer calories than it needs at the higher weight. As you lose weight, the difference between your intake on the diet and the daily requirement is smaller, so you lose weight more slowly.

Don't get taken in by the lo-carb diets, etc. Those things are dangerous, since they often don't give you a balanced diet. Just eat a balanced diet, but a little less than normal. Shoot for losing one pound a week. Weigh yourself daily at the same time every day.

About the bread, it may not be the bread that's doing it to you. It may be the good stuff you put on the bread.

Can u make cakes too???
There are some Really Nice Fresh Cream Cakes!!!

Eat Salads and drink a lot of water!
Wear a belt really tight to help you not feeling hungry!

My older sister did when she wanted to lose weight,it Worked!

Calories carbs & fat. Only 40 grams of carbs & 40 grams of fat a day & exercise is inevitable if you wanna lose weight. If ur that stubborn then just continue gaining weight

not exactly. its getting rid of fat, calories increase fat and working out decreases the calories put into fat, when the body needs more energy it starts using fat cells
