Sore calves after exercising?!

Question: Sore calves after exercising?
So basically I've started my diet, and my exercise the day after (yesterday).
A few hours, after having a shower, I felt a strain/sore feeling around my calves.
I know that it's lactic acid, and it's caused by my leg taking unusual strain from intense exercise, but I was wondering:

How can I exercise when my legs hurt right after? Because I know it'll get worse if I exercise today, so I didn't. But how am I supposed to exercise if it hurts all the time? Do my legs and the rest of my body get accustomed to it slowly?

What should I do?

Thanks!

Answers:

when they are sore, do not exercise vigorously. This is as you need to allow time for your muscles to relax, otherwise you will just end up burning muscle - and your muscles will respond less to exercise and get tired more easily. In answer to your question, yes your body will eventually get accustomed to it. For example, for me doing reps of a high weight used to be hard, now they are much easier.

hope i helped.
