Question: Help me help my fat friend please?

I used to make fun of this fat kid, push him down, throw food at him, give him nude pictures of fat girls that i think he would like, Stuff like that. Now we're in 8th grade and i feel bad about it, I asked him if he wanted help losing some weight and he said no, Then just walked away and started crying.. I feel bad for picking on him for the past 3 years and only want to help him now. If i make fun of him some more do you think he will decide to just let me help him? or should i just sit back and let him eat himself to his grave?

how can you call him a friend after treating him like that?

don't say anything. just say ''i'm sorry for everything i've said and done. if you ever need help, i'm here.'' then let him come to you. you shouldn't really force yourself on to him, it's just gonna drive him away further from you.
and certainly, don't jump to the assumption that he needs to lose weight. maybe he's fine with how he looks.
