How to quit overeating?!

Question: How to quit overeating?
I have this issue with overeating. I'm not overweight, but I want to control my eating habits better before it becomes a problem. I'm in college, and I don't really have the money to eat right, or the time to exercise it off a lot of the time. I'm trying to incorporate going to the gym into my schedule, but homework is just so hectic. Anyone have any tips to help me either stop eating as much, or to eat better without draining my wallet? And I've tried drinking a lot of water throughout the day - it just doesn't do it for me.

Answers:

You can continue drinking multiple cups of water a day, and by eating fibre rich foods along with that, it will help you feeling really full. Fibre rich foods can include :
bran flakes, fibre one cereal, dark green veggies, and fruits. Also, starches can keep you feeling really full and a good choice would be whole wheat bread.
Try eating an apple or soup before a meal to help control your portions throughout the meal :)

Chew gum. If I'm craving something sweet I like Extra's watermelon gum but otherwise to stop myself from overeating I'll chew a strongly flavoured mint gum to help curb appetite. Plus, when you chew mint gum, there is no food that would taste good enough to make you want to combine the flavours! haha!

Eat small meals frequently. Dont eat a lot in one sitting
