Im trying to gain weight?!

Question: Im trying to gain weight?
Hi im a freshman in highschool and im 5' 4'' and weigh 110lbs. Im super skinny to other people but when i have a muscle shirt on people notice my muscle cuz i work out. Altho i do like the fact they notice my biceps when i wear a muscle shirt i still look skinny with a normal shirt. So i wana gain weight so i can build even more muscle. But the problem is i have a fast/high metabolism. Anyone got any tips? (i turn 15 march 3rd)

Answers:

I was 5'7" and 125 when I was a freshman, so I know it is tough. That is good that you work out, weight training is a good way to gain muscle. Don't go running on the treadmill often though, you will loose too much fat and calories while not gaining muscle(besides leg muscles). Drink a protein shake once a day and if you can get two in that would be better. One after breakfast and one within 45 minutes of your workout. If your workout is at school and you can't make one then eat a protein bar, they taste good. If you can only have one drink than try to make it after you workout for best performance. EAT a lot of food but not like McDonald's, that will just get you fast. Eat protein high foods like fish and chicken.

Hope this helps you

my own experience

Take protein shakes, eat constantly throughout the day. Never skip meals. Eat oatmeal, bacon and eggs, whole milk. I used to have a high metabolism like you and could never gain weight, but I got motivated to gain weight and made sure I kept eating to gain weight. Make sure you keep yourself motivated, its important.
