Is it okay to skip a workout if...?!

Question: Is it okay to skip a workout if...?
Would it affect my strength/muscle building program if I were to not exercise for a couple of days? I've pulled an arm muscle- and lifting weights only makes it worse (obviously).

But I don't want to lose any muscle. What should I do?

Answers:

When this happens to me I continue my workout schedule to the extent I can without straining the injury. If I pull an arm muscle I just do what exercises are possible without that arm. If you're creative you can find ways to work just about everything else, just don't put stress on the strained muscles. Also, keep up with regular cardio or you'll have an even tougher time getting back into the routine.

Just a few days will not make any long-term difference in strength or muscle building as long as you keep working what you can. It's the people (and I've been guilty of this) who find the injury an excuse to do no workout at all for just a day or two, then it becomes 3 and 4, and then it's really, really tough to get back into it and we've lost some of our fitness level.

Trying to lose weigh and keeping it off is a lifestyle. Why lose all that weigh just to gain it back. Keeping it of it what makes a lifestyle. of course a few days would not cause you to lose any muscle! muscle takes time to build - and it also takes time to lose.
dont worry about it, you should just let your muscle heal.
good luck!

You won't lose muscle after just a couple of days. Rest your arm until it's better and then continue. You'll be fine.
