What the heck is going on with my eating?!

Question: What the heck is going on with my eating?
m on a 1,200 calorie diet, and I usually have a tough time sticking to it. But last Monday Iaccidentallyy ate 600 calories, and to make up for it I tried eating a couple hundred more the next day. I ended up eating 1,000. So I tried again the next day. I ate 1,200 (which is great for a normal day, but I was aiming for more like 1,500). The next day I was dead set on eating 1,500. But I again ended up with 1,200. It was kinda late and I was reading in bed, and I considered getting up to get something to eat but decided it wasn't worth it. Today I'm finally going in the right direction (1,200 and I still have to eat dinner) but I had to eat an entire bag of almonds (nuts are very high calorie) and right now I feel stuffed from the sugar free pie I just made and I'm pretty sure I won't be eating anything after dinner (which is usually along the lines of 150 or 160). Why am I not hungry all of a sudden? Usually I'd have to drink like a gallon of water or desperately attempt to stay distracted to keep from going off it. So what do you think could be the reason? I've exercised less than usual this week, we had Monday off from school and Wednesday and today it was raining so I couldn't ride my bike to school like usual (5 miles) but there have been times when it seems to never stop raining (I live in California and it rarely rains, but when it does it rains hard) and I still had trouble. I doubt it's simply my body getting used to it, it was so sudden. Sunday I had my usual weekend trouble (weekends are always far harder for me because I don't have school to distract me Sometimes I'll spend the whole lunch period engrossed with homework - I get that way somethings - or run out after having slept in so late I didn't have time for breakfast, so I have more calories afterward) and then Monday afternoon I reviewed my calories and all of a sudden realized I had eaten barely anything. Is this normal?

Answers:

Anastasia, I think the answer may be in your recent reduction in exercise. The body responds to regular exercise with an increased appetite for obvious reasons. With the rain and you not riding your bike to school and the like your just not as hungry as you normally are. The body does not require much fuel to be dormant for multiple days.

Have you struggled with your weight in the past? I am curious why you pay such close attention to your calorie intake?
