Answers:
You dont need anything fancy to gain muscle. Just a simple stuff. Because free weights are the best type, machines are terrible. Not terrible, just not as good as free weights for adding mass, you get better ROM (range of motion)

-weight
Maybe if you wanted you could get a pull up bar, but i mean. You could also just use any door frame for that.
And for supplements, non are really NEEDED but if you were gonna pick any I would have to say whey isolate (any whey protein powder that is isolate, it just means fast digesting) to take post workout. Creatine, to take pre or post working. And casein whey protein powder to take before you go to bed, so your body doesn't eat at your muscle and limit your gains.
