What exercise machine does what?!

Question: What exercise machine does what?
Ok, so Im in high school, and I want to get some exercise machines.

Im not overweight or stuff, I just think it would be nice to be a little stronger in some area's. I do squat holds, push ups, and crunches.

I DONT want a treadmill. I can just go outside and walk or run ( although the incline feature would be nice, but I can't afford one right now either )

**BUT MOSTLY: I need to know which machine does what. As in **this is an example, not sure if it's right** "The treadmill strengthens thighs, and tones your butt " something like that.

Please help find out what these machines and exercises do for you:

Elliptical (machine)
Treadmill (machine)
Lunges
Squat holds
Crunches
Push ups
Rowers ( machine )
Stationary bike (machine)

*If you could also tell me any other exercises that would help ( specifically with toning my butt, and strengthening the part of my leg below the knee, and my thighs ) or yoga poses that are good but easy.

Answers:

Elliptical, Treadmill, and Stationary bikes are cardiovascular activities, which is a fancy way of saying "running" or anything that gets your heart pumping :D

Lunges, Squats are for legs.

Crunches are for abs.

Push ups are for chest / triceps (the back part of your arm which happens to be 2/3 of your arm).

These are great exercises but if you are looking for a better booty and legs then, Squats and lunges are great for you. Just make sure you know the correct way of doing it or you can really hurt yourself.
