how can i get over this embarrassment?!


Question: How can i get over this embarrassment?
A lot of people get too embarrassed to work out in front of others (such as in a workout class or gym) and most of them solve this by working out at home.

My problem is that i am embarrassed to do even this.

I know id feel silly doing it. nobody to do it with me etc.

I want to know why i feel like this, but more importantly, how to get over it.

Any ideas?

try to get someone to come so u guys can talk it will get your mind off it an maybe try working out at home for a while like running close to home or doing sit ups in your home if u have a dog take him for a run and almost every one feels wired working out at first



Why don't you start off on light things such as sit ups and lunges then work your way upto sprinting and stuff. That way you can become more comfortable with exercising. Also, if you don't want to do it alone try doing it with someone you're really close to and you know won't laugh at you.

When you exercise just imagine you are at home exercising

Can you force one of your friends to come with you? It really helps.

Its something like stage fright...I suggest you google stage fright and ways to get over it, some of those ways might help you!



well just imagine that everyone is fat and sweating everywhere and you are perfectly slim and is smoking hot
