How can i get into the habit of drinking more water?!


Question: How can i get into the habit of drinking more water?
I only drink about half a cup each day. ):
I am 15 and 4'10. Should I be drinking 6 cups each day? It should be less because I'm tiny, right?

Answers:

Drink water until your pee is clear. I know that sounds weird, but that's your body's way of telling you that it's getting rid of the old toxic water that it was holding onto because it thinks you're going to continue giving it fresh water all day. Even when you're not thirsty, just keep on drinking.



When in school it's a hard habit to keep unless you're willing to continually fill up your water bottle then take a couple trips to the bathroom throughout the day but really you don't necessarily have to drink six cups of water if you're hydrated and happy with four or five.

However, if you're on an exercise plan, in athletics, etc. you should definitely try to incorporate 6+ cups of water daily just based upon the fact that you'll be sweating it out.

If you're not thirsty don't force yourself to drink, but really there's not an easy way to just get yourself in the habit besides just keeping a water bottle handy throughout the day.



? Who told you that you need to drink a certain amount based on body type?

Our bodies are made up of mostly water. 70% is it? Anyways, you need to drink lots - at least 6-8 cups a day, and that is at the very least. We need to stay hydrated to keep our skin healthy, our cells, etcetc. Just, everything. We need water.

I have a hard time as well. In fact, I mostly end up forcing myself. I make myself drink teas, LOL. If it's just that you're not interested in drinking water, try mixing a little bit of juice with it to give it more of an enticing flavor. It really is not good for you to go a full day with so little water, especially being so young, so drink up!

afterall your body is like 75% water.
and it keeps your skin.
Im 5"10 and weigh about 145 and im a 15 year old girl, i play two rep sports so when i have practices i drink atleast 2 waterbottles
besides that i drink atleast 6 bottles a day :$ i aim to drink 1 bottle every two periods.:)
and i never drink anything else beside maybe orange juice and alchohol when i party:$

its good and youll never get dehydrated and you will have an overall healthy and strong body!

You should drink water until your pee is clear, that shows you that your body is getting rid of the unneeded things. It's healthy for you to drink water. Just drink alot of water, drink water every time you eat a meal. (Don't drink soda or anything, water is so healthier.) And once you start doing it more, you'll be used to drinking water



A litre a day is best. Try pouring it in a glass and let it sit there for an hour or two so it becomes room temperature, then drink the whole glass at once and refill it for the next go. Even if you have to force yourself to drink it, just do it, your body will love you for it.



Being smaller doesn't mean you need to drink less water. You get dehydrated no matter what your size. Try keeping a water bottle near you at all times so you reach for that instead of finding other drinks



carry 2 bottles with you all the time, even at home. If you finish them reward yourself. Your size doesn't matter, if you want to be healthy drink around 8 cups a day. Good Luck!
