Question: How many hours a day should someone workout?
well I workout but probably not enough because I get distracted, take probably too many breaks. I don't need to lose weight I just want to have more endurance and have a stronger more tone body.

try to keep your workouts between 60-75 mins long. Any longer than that and your body will release a stress hormone called cortisol which will reverse any gains you are trying to make by muscle breakdown. For strength and endurance, do between 3-5 workouts and keep your sets at 3-4 with a rep range of 8-12. Rest time in between each set should be about 60-90 seconds. If you follow a good nutrition plan that consists of eating 3 meals a day with a snack in between it will keep your metabolism running and you should get the results your looking for. goodluck

It depends on the person. It is recommended that most people get 30 minutes minimum of activity like walking every day. 90 minutes is better. I would say an hour of working out is a good amount, but it really depends on what you are trying to do - lose weight, tone muscles, maintain weight, etc.



If you want endurance, have you ever went running? Try going for a run like on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Then on the off days Work out the other parts of your body. Sunday Rest.
