Hungry for muscular strength?!


Question: Hungry for muscular strength?
im 14 years old and 2 years ago i started a lott of swimming cycling etc along with push ups..pulls ups and use of weights(2 of them 6 Kg/13.2 lbs each)
i am now much much strnger...but not satistfied...:/..recently i got hold of a dumbel weighing at
23Kg/50.6 lbs...i am used to using two 7.5 Kgs/16.5 lbs at the same time...and can handle the new one for about 30 mins,..im adolescent..is it safe to continue with the heavy one? :/...

Answers:

Stick to bodyweight stuff till your older (you can get real strong, promise, and tends to be better balanced). Also, never title anything 'hungry for muscular strength'... you don't wanna be that guy.



Yes its fine as long as you're eating well and you're doing proper routines. Don't worry about the actual time you're spending with lifting. Your concern should be what you are doing with the weights (like how many reps and sets). Time is just a number when lifting and shouldn't be the focus of it at all.
