Will my health suffer?!

Question: Will my health suffer?
I have recently started following my version of a Jain vegan diet. I am not eating any root vegetables, rhizomes, tubers, or bulbs. I am not consuming fungus or anything fermented or cultured with fungus (yeast, mushrooms, vinegar, tempeh, etc.) I will eat vegan yogurt, and I take a vegan B12 supplement, though. I am also not eating any sprouts. I am fully aware of the health benefits of both fermented food and sprouts. So, do you think my health will suffer for not eating them? Thanks!

Answers:

I'll be honest with you:
I do not like this diet at all!!!
What is essential for your body are the begetables and sprouts, then fruit. You just do the exact opposite!

My experience is that the more vegetables, sprouts you eat the better - so far the best for my body was raw food eating - it's amazing how it cleans up the body and as a consequence your feelings and thoughts as well.

Of course it's your choice - I'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions pro and contra.

I would suggest you listen to your body - it will tell you exactly what is the best food for you.

In my opinion vegans suffer a lot thought they may not show it.
Think about this, if all you are eating is this kind of stuff... what happens when you run up on some mean bbq ribs ? What about ben & Jerry's ? Moose tracks and superman ice cream ? your health may or may not suffer from this but I think maybe someone like me on this vegan diet of which you are talking about would suffer from not being able to indulge every so often .

Life's to short, eat a peanut butter cup every so often sheesh

Second hand opinion

Just do this experiment....Stay on the diet for as long as you feel fine......months... years......but if you ever feel you are winding down physically.....eat a steak a day for 3 days... Analyze.... i have been strict vego a few times its healthy for sure....the last time 4 years and i accidentally won a meat tray! I ate it and now eat fish andmeat in moderation. Cutting thefermented stuff sounds like a plan but sprouts etc a bit over the top......surely they wont kill you.......just montor your brain and body....but be honest with yourself...life is long and variety probably helps.....cheers
