If I'm sick (or am recovering from the flu) - what is general rest period?!

Question: If I'm sick (or am recovering from the flu) - what is general rest period?
I haven't worked out for a week and a half because I've been sick or recovering from the flu - and I still have a slight headache. Chills is what really prevented me from working out though. Anyway, I'm mostly over it. Can I begin my HIT program again - and my resistance training, or should I wait until my body is able to recover completely again. I still feel I'm recovery quite slowly.

Answers:

take it easy till you get better, and rest some more till your chills and aches go away,
and well try hot tub as well to make you feel better, and well try medidtating for a little bit day time when your home, and it will take you away from your sickness and feeling crummy..
you need to sleep and have tv set and and relax have fluids and well walks are good when your sick not to far but to clear head, and well walk outdoors to get some fresh air...
walks are good sit outside chair where no one can see you.. and breath deep and enjoy!

I have been trying to shed pounds most of my life and finally found a great program please check it out
