I am thin, yet I can not get a layer of fat off my stomach. Could this be scar t!

Question: I am thin, yet I can not get a layer of fat off my stomach. Could this be scar tissue?
I am 15 yrs old, 5'4 and 117 pounds. I am thin in all parts of my body except my stomach. I have good abs, but a layer of fat over them! The part that doesn't make sense is that I run 3 times a week. I am gluten, dairy, and meat free, and very healthy. I also have a 7 inch scar from intestine surgery and the fat tends to be right around that area. Could the 'fat' be scar tissue? If not, how do i get rid of it?

Answers:

It could be scar tissue, but I doubt it. Even the most skinny of people will many times have a little pouch of fat on their belly. It's natural, the stomach is one of the bodies favorite places to store fat, so even if you have a little, that's where it gets put.

Running is good, but you should try some H.I.I.T(High Intensity Interval Training) exercises. That will help you burn fat better than just running. Or some other sort of cardio workout that works your whole body. Cutting anywhere from 300 - 500 calories from your diet will help you lose some weight.

Eating 5-6 smaller meals instead of 3 large meals a day will help you keep burning fat all day. Drinking lots of water also helps the fat burning process. You might already be doing these things, I don't know so I'm just suggesting them.

If you really do think it might be scar tissue then you could probably talk to your doctor and he might be able to suggest a method of how to get rid of it. Good luck and I wish you the best.
