I am thin, yet I can not get a layer of fat off my stomach. Could this be scar t!

Question: I am thin, yet I can not get a layer of fat off my stomach. Could this be scar tissue?
I am 15 yrs old, 5'4 and 117 pounds. I am thin in all parts of my body except my stomach. I have good abs, but a layer of fat over them! The part that doesn't make sense is that I run 3 times a week. I am gluten, dairy, and meat free, and very healthy. I also have a 7 inch scar from intestine surgery and the fat tends to be right around that area. Could the 'fat' be scar tissue? If not, how do i get rid of it?

Answers:

Truth is, it's probably not fat tissue, but just plain ole skin.

A lot of people believe they have fat on them when in reality they just don't have big muscles. If your diet and fitness is like you say, you shouldn't have much an issue with fat. Why don't you try eating more protein (which can be found in nuts and beans) and doing strength training? Planks work well if you want to strengthen abs, as opposed to crunches which don't do much.

The protein will feed the muscles and make them bigger, which will lead to a more defined stomach if fat is low.

Hope this helps!!

That is probably just the way you are built. I have seen some of those plastic surgery shows where fit people got lipo just to remove the layer of fat from their stomach because they wanted that six pack and that was the only way for them to get it.

We all hold weight differently, some around the middle, some around the hips Plus, women have to have some fat in order to be healthy. We were made that way.
