Answers:

A couple things - there isn't really a way to know exactly what you will lose by doing certain things. If you want to lose the weight fast..and 10 lbs a month is fast (1-2 lbs a week is the ideal, healthy way..which would be 4-8 lbs a month) then you will need to change much more drastically than that. You will need to eat mostly fruits and veggies..no added sugars/no artificial ingredients..and then chicken and fish and lean cuts of pork for the meat. Look at a food pyramid and follow that. You may be surprised by how little meat and how many fruits/veggies/whole grains it suggests. I would start out with walking 30 minutes a day if that's all you can do. If you are going to just do cardio, I would suggest getting an eliptical machine and using that for 30-45 minutes a day. Alternating between strength training and cardio every other day is really the way to go. Muscle burns calories even while your body is resting, so don't be scared of bulking up. The female body naturally builds a lean muscle..it takes a lot of work for female body builders to get there body looking that way, so don't avoid doing any weight training for that reason. One last thing, stay off your scale! If you want to lose weight, and feel better about yourself, then just eat healthy and exercise and it will happen. If you stress over numbers, it will be much harder to get to the results you want. You will start to feel more energized and happier in no time! Do some research on the foods you eat and the stuff you learn will make it that much easier to eat more healthful foods. Good luck!

The most effective thing is excersize! You can eat 5000 calories a day and be tiny if you excersize the right amount off! Try a new sport especially swimming or join a local fitness club. Running about a mile everyday is easy and efficient too! Try doing all this with a friend though to help you stay on sheduale and make it easier! Also, keep track of your average calorie intake each day. Buy a calorie counter book (even one for fast food restaurants) and bring that and some paper with you everywhere you go! Calculate the amount you eat in a day when you are not thinking about cutting down or dieting. Then lower that number by 100 each week. Doing this too fast or too much can cause weight gain! The point here is not to starve yourself! Remember, it's not at all about what you eat but how much, although healther food will help you feel fuller. Good luck and I hope this helps!
