What are your favorite healthy recipes?!


Question: What are your favorite healthy recipes?
I figured I'd put this here, since this is the diet section, and I'm looking for healthy recipes.

And please don't tell me to check my BMI, calorie intake, and to lower my calorie intake. I already know that =D. The thought here is to find recipes that help do that.

Seasoned Salmon - I usually try and stick with fish more than anything.

Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Serving Size: 4
Calories: 240
Grams of Carbs: 0.9
Grams of Fat: 16.7
Grams of Protein: 20.8

Ingredients 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons soy sauce
lemon pepper to taste



Instructions 1.Preheat the oven broiler. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2.Place salmon on the baking sheet. Mix the melted butter and soy sauce in a small bowl, and brush over the salmon. Sprinkle salmon with lemon pepper.
3.Broil salmon 6 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness, or until easily flaked with a fork.

I personally don't believe all the calorie crap because different foods have different pros and cons for the body, regardless of their calorie content... but any, to answer the question...

I love eating jacket potato with tuna, with salad on the side

baked chicken with onions, garlic, peppers, etc

a proper, home-made chili can be delicious and healthy
for chile -- get a big cooking pot, a tiny bit of oil and fry some onions and chili, add peppers, garlic and mince, cook until mince turns light grey/ brown, add a tin of chopped tomato and a tin of kidney beans (preferably in chili sauce) stir every now and then until pretty much cooked, cover with a lid and leave on a low heat until you're ready to eat it.
note: this dish is just as good if you leave it in the pan with the lid on and eat it the next morning or even afternoon so long as you heat it through until piping hot.
