Will eating one really fattening sandwich ruin my diet?!

Question: Will eating one really fattening sandwich ruin my diet?
Iv been doing great on a diet for four months now, but today I ate a breaded chicken cutlet sandwich with cheese and mayonaise and all this stuff, and I feel aweful for it, will it ruin my diet?

Answers:

No, not at all! In fact, studies have shown that people who occasionally break their diets tend to stick with their diet program for longer then those who deny themselves a sometimes-treat. Just don't overdo it. And stop feeling bad about eating something delicious and unhealthy - think of it this way. You've been so good for so long, that you deserved a little reward. Keep up with your diet!

What's done is done. Write down what you ate and calculate the calories or points or whatever you're keeping track of so you can plan your meals and snacks for the rest of the day with that taken into consideration. Then get back on your diet and stick to it. If you feel that you need to compensate, walk for an extra mile or two today.

After 4 months, if you have been doing great, one time succumbing to temptation isn't going to have a huge effect. Quit beating yourself up and keep moving forward.

Diet isnt something you do for a specific time period and then go back to pigging out again. Diet is about lifestyle change. You obviously like fried chicken, sweets, and all the bad stuff like we all do so the perfect thing is finding balance. One chicken sandwich won't mess you up at all. In fact the last time i lost 50 pounds I had one day where I just ate whatever I wanted whether it be fried shrimp, burgers, tacos, candy and ice cream I just ate it. Then the next day got back on my diet. It actually helped me to lose weight and was my favorite time of the week as you can see lol

Depends on your diet. Are u trying to lose weight? Gain muscle mass? When it comes to weight loss, calorie intake and frequent meals is all you need to focus on. When u eat a fattening sandwich, just compinsate for it throughout the day.

It depends on whether or not you let it. If you go back to eating healthy the next day, it won't. If you give up, it will.

But you need to consume more calories. Your BMI is 17.2, which is very underweight.

It's just one day, calm down! Just keep on your diet like nothing happened.
