Too many calories? Over 1000?!

Question: Too many calories? Over 1000?
Breakfast: 120cal nutrigrain bar
Lunch: half a whole wheat wrap with spicy grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato
Dinner: 300cal hot pocket

1000 calories?

Answers:

Not at all! You should actually be consuming about 300 more if you're trying to lose weight. If I was you I'd add a healthy desert like frozen yogurt with berries or some dark chocolate. If you don't consume enough calories, you're body will actually hang out to calories your eating and you won't lose fat.

Good luck :)

1000 for the whole day? That is too little. If that is all you ate, there is no way you made it through the day with enough energy and nutrients to not feel tired/hungry/cranky ect. and if you did, that won't last long before you are starving. If you are looking to lose weight, eat more healthful things than a Nutrigrain bar and a hot pocket. Get protein in the morning. Have a nice healthy dinner..not a frozen food "pocket" that's processed and just plain gross. Look up some healthy recipes and make some easy breakfasts for yourself. That is the most important meal of the day for many reasons, and a Nutrigrain bar just isn't going to cut it. Without knowing more info, it's hard to say how many calories you should be eating, but I would stick with 1500 if you are trying to lose weight. If you didn't eat healthfully before, there's a good chance you were going way over that. The important thing is to exercise and eat healthy foods in small portions, multiple times per day. Good luck!

1000 calories is too few. The problem with your diet isn't that it's too many calories; it's not, the problem is that you're not getting the nutrients you need from it. Try to get at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Breakfasts should be low in carbs and high in protein. And try to incorporate some monounsaturated fats like almonds and avocado into your diet.

1,000 calories overall is actually too little unless you're morbidly obese and on a diet to rapidly decrease your weight.

The recommended intake is about 2,000. Most Americans eat about 5,000 calories a day which explains quite a bit.

Calories are much more wanting than they are many, imho
