Question: How can I get rid of my muffin top? and what other ways can I tone my thighs? (pictures)?
Well, I'm 14, 5'3 or 5'4 (my height changes) and 148 pounds
I'm currently toning my abs and my belly by doing crunches and sit ups.
But I want to do more then squats to tone my thighs..
and also, how can I get rid of my muffin top?
and here's a bonus, do i look fat or average to you guys?

Now that I have been motivated to answer this question rather than ignore it by virtue of me wanting to share my joy over this matter with you, I will proceed...

You don't look "fat", I'd say pretty average to maybe a little overweight (but really, hardly!!) You have skinny little legs! Haha. But, as you're asking, about the "muffin top"...

One of the keys, so I hear, to eliminating this kind of thing is doing a variety of different kinds of crunches, not always little ones in the middle. Try working on obliques (the side of your abs) by twisting to one side; try doing crunches while lifting up alternating legs in a criss-cross motion... Googling exercises is easy and helpful, and a bonus - if you have certain cable (Time Warner for me, but I think others do it), there are special free on-demand exercise channels that showcase a ton of free ab exercise videos, as well as others!

You need to add in some cardio. Crunches are great for toning but if you've got fat over muscle you won't be able to see it unless you lose some. I have this problem too. What I do for this is, I play dance dance revolution on my xbox. 30 minutes playing burns around 200 calories. I also use a hula hoop. Crunches only target going back and forth, but with a hula hoop your doing a 360 motion. Cut out soft drinks and drink water. Maybe get a tan. This all worked for me. I only lost 10 pounds and people say I look like I lost 30.



I would suggest the Fat X Program from the Fat X 101 site (http://www.FatX101.com). The fat burning workout videos are free and the diet is pretty simple and easy to follow. It's been helping me lose fat, inches, and I can tell my body is way more toned. Good luck.
