I'm wanting to diet the healthy way, can someone help me plan out some meal!
Question: I'm wanting to diet the healthy way, can someone help me plan out some meals? (I'm vegan)?
I also have a vegan multi-vitamin that I take everyday and an iron supplement for anemia.
Thanks for your help!
Answers:
Bottom line: It is very, very hard to maintain a healthy vegan diet. As a species, we are not meant to subsist on vegetables.
Iceburg Lettuce has no nutritional value. Zero. It's water and roughage.
Being limited to frozen veggies makes it even harder. You'll have to fill in your diet with pasta and bread, which is worse for your body than meat. Consider adding chicken or fish (or both) to your diet. You can get it frozen, it is lean and full of nutritional value.
EDIT:
Are you sure? Have you had this condition diagnosed by a doctor? Often, if you haven't eaten meat for a while, it will cause an adverse reaction the first time or two that you go back to it, but that will then go away. Lactose intolerance is a more common problem though, you might avoid milk.
But whatever your decision, you can go to www.fitday.com and plug in what foods you plan on eating, and it will calculate total daily calories and show you what kind of nutrition you are getting.
If you want to lose body fat, you'll also need to work in some type of exercise, as well.
vegan is not a healthy diet you know?
vegan is in fact the worst diet ever...
