Um...13 year old diet question?!

Question: Um...13 year old diet question?
So, if I just cut out junk food, eat lik 5 small (healthy!) meals a day, drink 8 cups of water, and start running on a daily basis, will i be able to lose weight and keep it off??

Answers:

Yes :D It's good that you're trying to eat more healthy and exercise instead of going on stupid crash diets that just muck your body up.
And eating five small meals a day is a much better idea than eating 2/3 big ones, it keeps your metabolism going and means you're less likely to grab a big sugary fatty snack when you get hungry :p
good luck darling :)

Edit: to everyone saying that 8 cups of water is too much/wrong, that IS how much water you should be drinking, water is great for giving you more energy, making you feel more full so you don't fill up on snacks, it keeps your skin clear and hair shiny, it's just really good for you. You should be drinking at least 8 cups of water (or other fluids, like fruit juices) a day to keep yourself hydrated, more if you're doing exercise.

Yes.
But, you don't have to drink 8 cups of water.

Eating healthy is very important to losing weight. That will really help you lose weight.
Running is hard when you first start, but once you start doing it for 3-4 weeks, your going to feel good, and you'll be able to run for a much longer time!

Good luck on your mission!

yes that's what i did and i lost quite alot! also as you grow taller cuz your only 13 your body will stretch out and fat will be more evenly distributed :) make sure you do alot of exercise that's the key. but don't like crash diet or whatever that's really bad for ya

high protein diet and work out a lot but dont ever work our the same body parts 2 days in a row and stretch a lot to help your body and eat mini wheats they keep you full and focused

the 8 cups of water is wrong.

Drink water when your pee is yellow or dark yellow. Stop drinking when your pee is clear.

I would probably say possibly. But it'd be better most likely to eat two main healthy meals rather than 5, here and there with healthy snacks like fruits
