How much weight will i lose if I only eat fruits and veggies?!

Question: How much weight will i lose if I only eat fruits and veggies?
I'm planning on only eating fruits and veggies, and a cup of milk everyday. How much will i lose in a week? And I only exercise for 40 minutes every week. And i don't care if its bad for me, I just wanna lose weight.
Thanks :)

You'll lose water weight, muscle mass and bone density, and maybe even a little body fat. It's not the right answer, which is why people on here are going to tell you its not the right answer.

Listen to yourself. "I don't care if it hurts me." It's like you're trying to punish yourself for carrying extra weight. This isn't healthy, isn't necessary, and is both physically and psychologically bad.

The answer is more complicated than muching on fruits and veggies. You need a lifestyle change, and a change in attitude. You need to start keeping a balanced diet. You need to learn how to stay fit.

There are a hundred books that can get you started, but the first one I'd go for is the South Beach Diet. It will teach you about WHY some foods are worse than others, and teach you a bunch of absolutely delicious ways to eat right. Go check out the website after you read this. Your mouth will water from some of the recipes on there. You'll be like "Screw the fruits and veggies idea, I'm having steak medallions!"

Your level of excercise is a problem as well. 40 minutes isn't much exercise for a day, much less a week. You should shoot for at least an hour a day, five days per week. No time? Get Nutrisystem delivered to your house. Now you just killed two birds with one stone. You don't have to count calories, don't have to shop, and don't have to do anything but stick a meal in the microwave. Now you have time to exercise. Go to a gym and have them design a full fitness program for you, combining weights and cardio.

I'm probably getting ahead of where you're feeling right now. I do hear you. You're feeling like you're too heavy, probably because of the way you look since you aren't worried about health in your question. But the REAL answer you need is a healthier lifestyle. Start with the South Beach Diet or some other diet that takes into account insulin control, like the Abs Diet. Read it and see if it gives you back a sense of control. Follow it, watch the results (SB diet can take off up to ten pounds in just a few weeks) and see if you're inspired to do more.

Best of luck to you.

First, figure out your Basal Metabolic Rate, which will tell you how many calories to ingest to remain your current body weight. For every 3500 calories you drop from you diet should theoretically represent 1 pound of weight. And exercise more if you want to improve your results (like 1.5 hours per day)

This is very unhealthy. You need protein and you also need grains. You're basically talking about starving yourself. If you follow a healthy diet (like Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig etc.) you can expect to lose about 2 pounds per week.

Well if you really want to lose weight. I suggest you exercise ALOT more instead of just eating healthy. Like between 200-300 minutes a week. Eating healthy is a good step but working out is way more important if you want to lose weight.

i did it and worked out an hour a day as well as 30 hours of dance a week and i lost 15 pounds
i do it before big shows and stuff works super well! but it is bad for you :(

won,t work. no protein and carbs in this. you will get weak, and get diarrhea. you might lose five lbs. before you have to quit this silly diet. try it. experience is an effective teacher.

Too much.

a lot
