Question: Is it bad to lose 2 LBs a day for a week?
Im an athelete who is trying to lose weight. and im only 13..
the past 4 days ive been losing 2 lbs a day... i swim for about 5 miles, run for atleast 2, and bike for 5. I also lift and do a lot of stretching. I east eggs and sugar free redbull im the AM, tuna salad on wheat, for lunch, and salad with light Italian dressing and grilled chicken with a variety of veggies.
is this bad ???

Answers:

Sugar-Free RedBull is TERRIBLE for you, you could literally die from all the caffeine in there.

You weight is strange, I would consult a doctor. BTW I don't believe you swim 5 miles, you realize how far that is right? You never know though...

However I don't believe you should be doing this. Overworking + Excessive caffeine = Stunt growth AKA you'll be 5' tall for life...

EDIT: Anyways, your loss of weigh could be attributed to the massive growth spurt that happens around you age. and judos to your effort.

Yes it is very bad to lose weight so quickly, especially since you are still young! You are doing way too much exercise for sure. Cut it down to swimming 1-2 miles, possibly running a mile and possibly biking 5 miles.

Losing weight so fast will just make you gain it back all the faster. Healthy weight loss is 2 pounds PER WEEK not per day!

Red Bull, and sugar free Red Bull at that, is horrible for you. Have eggs and toast, a piece of fruit, and some water or milk, for breakfast. Everything else sounds healthy, try adding a couple snacks throughout the day, like yogurt or something.
