running on the threadmill...?!

Question: Running on the threadmill...?
Hi, im about 5'5 155 ish i dont really know i haven't weigh myself for about 3 weeks. But recently, last sunday, I started to run on the thread mil on an incline of 7...and going 6 in speed..sometimes 7(only for a minute or two).
it says that I lost 611-627 calories... (after of about 3 mins warm up and 27 mins running non stop and 5 mins cool down...) but i don't know if thats accurate or not?

Answers:

That does seem pretty high, you normally expect to lose ~100 calories/mile. Did you put in your age, height, and weight when you started your workout? Exercise equipment uses average calories lost based on the statistics you give it. I'd say they're usually pretty accurate (+/- 100 calories) if you gave it the right stats. I have seen some pretty weird numbers for calories lost on older treadmills though, so if its old equipment I wouldn't trust it at all.

First off, It's called a treadmill...Treadmill's are about 30-40% accurate. However, for most people, if you run for 10 minutes you burn 100 calories.
