Why am I gaining weight? (14 years old)?!

Question: Why am I gaining weight? (14 years old)?
Hi, I'm 14, 15 in June. I used to weight 120 at 5'5 and just in the past week I've gained 5-6 pounds! I'm like 125.8 and I want to know why. I'm in track and we've been conditioning for almost 2 months already, so I'm active and eat healthy. But I've been very hungry lately like I can eat a ton at once, maybe this is a growth spurt? I'm very muscular too. Just got my first period in November, I'm a late bloomer. Parents are 5'6 and 6'3 if that makes a difference. ? Help! Please and thank you!! :)

Answers:

Your body is growing. Your breasts are growing (or are about to) and your hips are widening. This causes TONS of weight gain. Don't worry about it!

Likely a combo of puberty, increased appetite and your athletic endeavours. Don't stress about it.

It's okay to be athletic, it's a lot nicer than those stick figures in magazines.

I think you eat too much
