Why weight checking is a problem for weight loss?!


Question: Why weight checking is a problem for weight loss?
I am on a diet, and if do not check my weight everyday (like every 4 days) then I lose weight. If i check everyday for four days then I don't? Even though it has been the same amount of time. Please help me understand why this happens?

It's water weight. Your weight can change by several pounds in a day depending on how much water is being retained by your body, something it's very difficult to control. If you weigh yourself once a week, then take the average weight loss over a period of weeks you get a better idea of weight loss trends. If you do it daily you are just measuring how much water is held by your body.

What happens is,u may not notice, is that the weighing every day may cause u to eat more. so lets see y:
you step on to the scale day one and u see oh wow! ive lost a lb! so u become excited and turn to food to treat urself.
you step on to the scale day two and see Omg! ive gained a lb. again,u turn to food outta frustration.

In other words it is an psychological issue not a physical.



My N only lets me weigh myself once a week or i end up overeating or restricting.The scale is like a judge to me.He is the one to decide what i will eat or not eat on a specific day.

I have an ED. the scale was the one who made me gain so much weight after ana.
