How to loose weight fast?!

Question: How to loose weight fast?
Well, I know this is probably one of the most common questions asked. But I am a Mama of 2. And the only time I have ever gained weight is during pregnancy.

I am 5' 7, 175lbs. And that's too heavy. Well, to be honest it's not the number on the scale that bothers me. I have curves. I like curves. I have a booty, boobies, and I love them. But I also have a belly, back fat, and muffin top. That I don't like.

So I guess my question is, will I loose weight with exercising a few times a week, and watching my portions? I really like the Zumba workouts for the Xbox Kinect. So I do that a few times a week. And if I start eating right, watching my calorie intake vs outtake, and portion control, will I see results?

Thank you for any help you can give me :)

90% of weight loss is diet, exercise is a very small portion of that(10%). Heres what I recommend. Figure the amount of weight you want to weigh, lets say (130lbs) now times that by 10 and you get 1300. That is what your calorie intake should be daily. I recommend sticking to unprocessed foods as best as possible ( outer rim of food stores is where the good food is. Eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day 2-3 hours apart, if you get crazy hungury munch on lettuce or baby carrots, skip the dip if you can or minimize. Eat a good breakfast with good fats (olive oil, or fish oil, or mono/poly fat- comes from nuts) you also need protein, carbs, fruit, and dairy. After that meal minimize carbs to the best of your abilities. The best way to do so is stay away from fruit except for breakfast. No bread, No beverages other than water, you can squeeze lemon, lime, and orange into the water for flavor, but flavored beverages(even OJ and Cran J=sugar!) are just wasted calories. The remaining 5 meals of the day should be protein and vegetables, the best vegetables are the green ones, lettuce, spinach, green peppers, (the greener the better it is for you) You can eat as much salad as you want as it is basically calorie less. The worst part of salads is dressing. Low fat always, and stay away from creamy stuff (ranch) dressing. Only 2 Tablespoons per salad. To help spread dressing, take plastic rap over the bowl and hold tight and shake, it will coat all the lettuce. It is ok to eat other colored vegetables but some have high carbs, look them up online. Diet is the biggest battle. Drink 8 normal water bottles worth of water daily. Best thing to do is have one bottle and keep filling it up and make a mark on it each time you fill to know how many you have drank. You can drink more but that should be the minimum. Water helps your body flush fat out and not process it. The 12 power food groups you should stick to are the following :
almonds and nuts
beans
vegetables (preferable green or carrots)
low fat dairy yogurt (dannonlight and go fit)
oatmeal, unflavored, you can add honey to sweeten it up but no processed sugar
eggs
turkey, tuna and other low fat meats and fish
peanut butter (organic if possible -no added sugar)
olive oil and fish oil
whole grain bread (only for breakfast and only 1 slice no lunch time sandwiches for now)
protein powder- low sugar/low carbs
fruits- preferably anything with berry in it. (again only for the first 2 meals of the day)
Sleep is very important to help you speed up metabolism to lose weight faster.
As far as working out/ exercise. Do things you like. Like I said it really only accounts for 10% of weight loss. If you hate running/ jogging. Try walking long distance or elliptical, or biking or hiking. You can alternate days and do cardio and then weight lifting the opposite days. If you do cardio make sure to do a minimum of 45 mins. Fat burning only kicks in after 20-25 mins. First your body uses carbs then fat stores. So if you do 30 mins like the FDA says, you really only burn fat for 5 maybe 10 mins. Don't over stress yourself. Take 1 day off each week and 1 day at a time, on your off day you can even take a nice walk. 1 mile walking burns roughly on average 90 calories. So walk 4 and that's almost 400 calories!
Referring back to my calorie calculation above here is how it works. Right now lets say you weigh 180lbs. That means your body needs 1800 calories each day to function to maintain that weight if you don't work out. Well if you cut calories down (don't go crazy counting calories or you ll unmotivated yourself) your body looks at it like this. I only am getting 1300 calories but I need 1800 to keep functioning, so it takes that 500 calorie difference and burns it from your fat reserves. Losing weight is simple. Its really just diet, If you really want the hour glass figure that's when exercise truly helps. But I know men/women who just wanted to lose 50lbs to be healthier and they never touched a weight or ran. Its all in the food you eat. Stay away from processed food (those health bars are normally not good for you, unless its the protein ones low in sugar and carbs) FYI sugar is a carb if you didn't know.
Working out boosts your metabolism so it makes fat burn faster and longer after workouts (3x faster to be exact). Push yourself harder each week and you'll see results faster. Goodluck!
Continued from below this: your body weight fluctuates 1-5lbs daily, so at 7am you maybe 150lbs but at 4pm you maybe 155lbs. So to know real weight loss, weigh yourself once a week(same day) and in the AM. Also no alcohol!!!! my email is tantillo.matthew@yahoo.com shoot me any questions and Id gladly answer them, theres more to know I couldn't fit in here. FYI you dont need fancy video workouts to lose weight, its alll diet, I promise! If you want curves thats exercise.

Use to be a physical trainer, Pain mgmt therapist, EMT, in PreMed school, there was more I wanted to say but yahoo cut me off, stay motivated with music, if you hit a plateau of weight loss change your workout routine and change up your diet and maybe lessen the calories for a short time. Remember you still need fruit even tho it has carbs(1st and 2nd meal of the day only!, its gives you good sugar and energy, and vitamins. I take vitamins; B-complex, fish oil, magnisium, mens daily, vitamin d (helps fight acne, makes skin look better and works) and vitamin c. Stick to it and I promise you’ll look amazing come summer, thats a promise. Only weigh yourself once a week, first thing in the morning after using the bathroom, trust me, pick 1 day. ^continued above fyi- weightloss is not about exercise, its diet, trust me!

Hello Mamaof2,

What I have found that to lose weight effectively is both a diet plan and exercise. Most of the time even if you cut your portions it may not help because it is the food you cut portions on may not be healthy. A plan/program will assist you on the proper food intake and some moderate exercise will get you the results you need. All the best to you,

Joe

hello, I was having this weight issue for so many years that it seemed hopeless. I used to be a diet product nuts. Until a friend suggested this method, I had my doubts at first but I felt there was nothing to lose. There was little change for the first week, but I felt good. After that first drop of weight, which was such a great experience, I worked on eating right to continue to keep the weight off. I can't remember that last time I was this light. This is where I found the information: http://eloseweightsite.tk
