Why does tea make you go to the toilet more quickly than water?!

Question: Why does tea make you go to the toilet more quickly than water?
I have had various people tell that it is either a diuretic or that it isn't.

So is it the caffine content, the temperature or what?

Answers:

Caffeine is a diuretic, so if your tea contains caffeine, it will make you eliminate more often.

teas have caffeine content and caffeine has diuretic effect in our body. teas and temperature, a combination of both will increase the chance of going to the toilet earlier than you could think of.

Tea like coffee is a diuretic (makes you pee more often - removes water from body) because it contains caffeine. The temperature has nothing to do with it.

Caffeine IS a diuretic and it is the temperature as well

Sorry not quite sure how I know that but I'm sure I'm right
