My workouts are killing my legs....?!

Question: My workouts are killing my legs....?
I have been working out lately and my lower legs keep hurting but its not muscle soreness or if it is its closer to the bone, at least thats how it feels. Also the back of one of my knees is sore some days its better to leave it stretched out cuz if it bends as in sitting or crossing legs it hurts like a pinching pain. I have been doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and my legs only bother me when Im doing any of the jump moves ie jumping jacks, jump rope. Walking or running in place doesn't bother me. I have not been able to do her workout daily due to the pain I have been having so Im not really seeing results everyone else claims to have with her dvd. I try to break when my legs hurt or sometimes I simply run in place instead of all the jumping she does. I have tried to do P90X as well and same thing when all the jumping starts I have to calm down due to my legs. Also my lower legs hurt like my knee as far as when I sit I like to sit indian style or tuck my legs under me and the pressure of my legs pressing together or on me hurts even when I cross my legs as well.
Is her workout to high impact for me? Am I doing something wrong? What exactly is going on with my legs?
If anyone has some insight that would be helpful THANKS :)

Side note I thought maybe it was my shoes LOL so I bought new ones about a month ago and still no difference.

Answers:

Don't overwork yourself, you should only be doing the same workout every OTHER day. And if it feels too bad take a break for a few days from working out altogether. But pain is normal, it means you are doing the workout well. Chronic pain is bad.
