Question: Would I gain weight-1400 calories a day?
I'm 13 yr old girl, 5 ft and half an inch tall, and i weigh 97 pounds. I'm eating
1300 currently but it's getting too difficult to keep up some days. I want to eat like 1400 but idk if I'm going to gain weight or not...? I don't exersise a lot. even when I dieted, it was purely just cutting calories, and i lost almost 20 pounds with it. but i don't like sit around the house all day-I walk a lot and I do one sport once or twice a week. ( I'm not trying to lose weight but I used to be kinda overweight and dieted a lot and I'm in a habit of counting calories) thanks!!

A girl your height/weight with some light activity probably burns around 1500-1700 calories per day.



people are going to tell you to eat more. I think your weight is good, perfect actually. if you go 1400 you'll be fine. but if you've been eating 1300 like every single day for a long time I'm not sure........ still 1400 is less than you technically require......if you still exercise I can't imagine you would gain weight.



That's a good amount to go for. With your age and height, you'll probably end up slowly losing more weight without even trying. If you just want to MAINTAIN your current weight.. you could eat more towards 2,000 calories per day.



Work out your BMR and eat the amount that it says you should. Then you'll maintain your weight.





























1400 seams a bit low but not buy much you will not gain any weight at that level. Another point diets never work staying at a nice weight means you will have to eat that way forever.
