Question: Am I overweight? I think so:(?
Age/ gender: 13/female
height: 5'10
weight: 166
frame: medium

I think I am but I was just wondering. I have been excersiIng and eating healthy for about a month and lost about 6 or 7 pounds. When I started I weighed 173.:(
I do cardio and just added wiifit to help
into my plan and I feel so much more healthier now:)

The medical answer (using a pediatrics BMI calculator and government/AMA approved charts,) is that you are NOT overweight, but you are in the 90th percentile. 85-90th percentile for your age bracket means "at risk for becoming overweight."

Here's the thing though: you need to be comfortable with your body image! Please don't try to be stick thin. I'm a college guy, and girls who are stick thin aren't attractive. You need to be normal, not anorexic-looking!

What I would suggest is to continue your workout! Consult your doctor, as well. If you can, make an appointment and see what they have to say. Typically, it's just a matter of slightly changing your diet and becoming more active, even if it doesn't involve the gym, etc. Your doctor is the best person to answer this, as they know all your medical history, your most current stats, and they have access to resources to help you.

Just from looking at your stats, I wouldn't say you're overweight at all! You're at risk, of course, but most of us are. You seem like a pretty good-looking young woman. I would keep up with your regimen of dieting and workout, but keep track. KNOW WHERE TO STOP!

You are still at healthy weight. Your bmi is 23.8, and to be healthy you need to be 18.5- 24. Just try to keep up with your exercise and eating healthy. You will continue to feel better.



You are still in the normal range for your hight and weight. A little on the high side of normal, but you have some good buffer from being overweight.
