Is it possible to lose about 40lbs in a month?!


Question: Is it possible to lose about 40lbs in a month?
WITHOUT UNGERGOING SURGERY - i wanna loose about 40lbs and bring my weight down to about 58kg. I know you can loose wieght by 'excercise and eating fewer calories' but are there any other methods e.g a specific way of excersice etc

If there was a way I would love to know it, but it's not possible. You'd have to lose 10 pounds a week which means in a weeks worth of time you'd have to burn 35,000 calories. If you do the math on it that would mean you'd have to burn 5000 calories every day. Most people burn about 200 calories in an hour doing cardio so to burn that you'd have to work out for 25 hours a day and we only have 24 hours in a day so it's physically and mathematically impossible. Doctors say a healthy rate is 2 pounds a week. You could possibly lose 2.5 a week and that will put you at 10 pounds a month and if you keep it up can lose the 40 pounds in 4 months. Another thing to think about is you don't want to lose weight extremely fast. When you lose weight really fast you end up with really loose skin and that's just as gross.



Cardio (tredmill, bicycle, swimming etc) but I heard its not healty to lose weight fast. 40 lbs in a month sound pretty extreme. Also after a weight loss like that your probably going lose skin if lost that fast. the averge weight loss is 3 lbs per week.



not healthy!!! I went from 115 pounds down to 90 pounds in a month and I felt horribe! im 112 now and much more healthy! If your going to lose that much weight you cant do it so drastically! 5 months is a good goal to lose that much IF your overweight!



This is almost impossible unless you make take a drastic measure and basically destroy your life with a heroin and cocaine addiction. 40lbs in one month is a little unrealistic.
