How can i not splurge on food at the party I'm going to?!

Question: How can i not splurge on food at the party I'm going to?
So, lately I have been dieting. Not anything too strict, just cutting down on junk food, exercising daily, etc. I'm going to a party tonight, and theres going to be a lot of junk food there. And pizza for dinner. And soda, cake, desserts, etc. I'm going to be very tempted, but even if i force myself not to eat the junk food, what an I eat if there aren't any healthy choices? I don't want to look weird, because everyone will be eating, and I don't want to be rude. What should I do?

Answers:

Instead of pop, ask for water. Whenever I have a party I usually buy a case of water as well as cans of pop. It's also not that hard for the host(ess) to grab a glass and get some water from the sink.

Don't worry about looking weird! When you're at a party, do you ever pay attention and think to yourself "Sara hasn't had anything to eat except for one slice of pizza, John's eaten like 3 pieces of cake, Sam's had some pretzels and a few cookies..." No! No one will notice if you're not eating much either.

Eat something small beforehand. Allow yourself some pizza! It's okay to cheat once in a while. Just don't eat a ton of it.

As for chips and stuff, you can get by on just grabbing a couple every once in a while.

But seriously, at the last party I went to I ate before I went and didn't have any pizza. I had a small slice of cake and a few pretzels throughout the night. No one asked why I wasn't eating a lot. You won't look weird.

Whenever you crave something, just gently place your hand over your belly and feel the fat there. You want that gone! Think of all the bad things that are in the food, and how you want to live a long, healthy life, and saturated/ trans fat and salt and sugar aren't going to get you there.

Just eat the pizza

Eat beforehand!! But to not look weird, eat small portions
