How was my diet today? Good or bad?!


Question: How was my diet today? Good or bad?
I'm 16.
Exercise: power walked/jogged 4 miles for an hour (morning)
Breakfast: high fiber cereal with a little bit of corn flakes with 1% milk (8:30 a.m.)
Snack: Banana (11 a.m.)
Lunch: brown rice, 3 pieces of baked BBQ chicken (they were those mini ones, they were the size of hot wings), and some mixed veggies (zucchini, carrots, green beans, and squash) (a little bit between 1 and 1:30 p.m.)
Snack: 100% whole wheat cracker with 1 spoonful of Jiff natural peanut butter (a little after 4 p.m.)
Dinner: half of a homemade sandwich using wheat bread and no mayonnaise and mustard, and I'm gonna have half a banana (gonna have this at 6:30 p.m.)
I drink nothing but water and 1 cup of brewed green tea lightly sweetened with splenda.

How was my diet today? Good or bad?

What Jolene said. Up the portions a bit. I'd also add a protein source to the breakfast. Yogurt, cottage cheese, canadian bacon, et c. Same for snack. Have some raw almonds with your banana.

Bad, its too low, you are doing a decent amount of excercise so need to properly fuel your body. Half a sandwich for dinner is inadaquate. I would suggest talking to a dietician so you can get a diet plan designed for you that makes sure you are getting enough vitimins, enough energy and still able to reach your goals.



The health aspects are good but maybe up the portions a little.



Pretty good. Pretty well balanced too
