What exercise could I do to get rid of big calfs?!


Question: What exercise could I do to get rid of big calfs?
First of all I'm not fat .. I'm skinny .
But my calfs look like a fat persons calfs ..
I don't really exercise that much except in PE on the track & when I did lacrosse

Does running help size it down o__o ??

Answers:

You most likely have muscular calves. To tone done calves you need to do alot of cardio exercises suck as treadmill exercise bike etc. This reduces muscle

Also try and do some leg strength training such as squats and calf raises. Squats are great for the legs and help tone them substantially and calf raises target the calf area.

Not to judge, but big calves aren't necessarily bad and probably actually add some nice curve to your legs. Sprinters have big calves, but I think they look strong! Anyway, I don't think you can "get rid" of them because your muscle and leg shape is mostly genetic, but if you run longer distances, like a few miles a week on flat areas-not sprints and not hill climbing-that might thin your legs out. I'm a recreational runner and don't consider my calves "big," but like I said, genetics are probably the main reason. So, be nice to yourself!

However, don't be afraid to run hill climbs and sprint intervals just because you want your calves to be smaller. These exercises help tone your legs nicely and keep you strong :)
